- featuring selections from great Broadway productions, including

  • Les Miserables

and songs by Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, Lerner & Loewe, and Andrew Lloyd Weber.

Auditions

2011 annual auditions:

Longwood Opera will be auditioning singers for
- Our annual summer concert series
- All roles in our October 2011 production:
Puccini's LA BOHEME
to be staged, costumed and performed in English.

We will be attending all of this year's Boston Singers Resources auditions.
If you are singing for these we will contact you if we wish to hear you again.

If we have not heard you at the April 2 or 16 BSR auditions
and you would like to obtain a different audition time,
send your current resume, photo and a cover letter by May 6 to:

Longwood Opera will be holding auditions for local, Boston based singers only
who have not been heard at the BSR auditions on

Friday, May 13 beginning at 4:00pm
Saturday, May 14th beginning at 5:00pm

We will not be able to schedule other days or times.
In your cover letter, state your preferred date to be heard and a phone or e-mail contact.
We will do our best to accommodate your choice of date.
We will let you know by May 6th the day and time of your audition.
Resumes received after May 6th will not be considered.

Please bring three selections (one should be in English). Because of time constraints we may be only able to listen to one selection. An accompanist will be provided, but you may bring your own
